Dehesa La Graja 2019
Size: 750ml
Located in Zamora in western Spain, this 18th Century winery was taken over and renovated by the Fernández Rivera family in 1998. Here, all of the family’s expertise with Tempranillo is captured in the cellars dug directly into the limestone rock, producing a rich, luscious, organic red – probably one of the best value wines in Spain.
Mature picota cherry red colour, with an intense garnet rim and covered in layers. Subtle notes of ripe black fruit jam, combined with delicate toasted notes, which meld perfectly with subtle hints of cocoa and some balsamic hints. The wine is powerful in the mouth, flavourful, meaty and well structured. Endowed with ripe, sweet and high-quality tannins that give it breadth and volume and fill the palate. Bursting with the aromas of ripe fruit in the middle and integrated with the flavour of exquisite wood. Long persistent finish, marked by hints of liquor-infused cherries.
