Juggernaut Hillside Cabernet Sauvignon, is a silky, smooth mouthful of delicious California Cab. It’s a beautiful bottle too, if you need to bring a hostess gift, or just want a great conversation starter. Because the vines are on hillsides, they have to be very hearty and put up with getting very little water. The payoff is loads of concentrated flavor; that’s what had us at hello when we tried this Juggernaut. Cheddar cheeseburger sliders with caramelized onions and chipotle mayo are just the ticket for your first glass. If you’re so inclined, stay on the beef track and do an entree of red wine braised short ribs. The secret to making them extra delicious? Saute some pancetta and use that fat to cook down the mirepoix. Keep the actual pancetta in the pot as you braise the meat to take it to the next level altogether. Lollipop lamb chops done on the grill with a wild mushroom risotto on the side is another delicious option. As is a steaming bowl of pappardelle tossed with a boar ragu. How will you ever decide?
